ECDIS Management

The course has been designed for experienced ECDIS operators who wish to learn how to manage such systems across a fleet of ships. The course is aimed at Fleet Managers and Senior Captains to ensure that a company is aware of what is required for the instillation and management of ECDIS. The course can be run as a closed course for your company or you can arrange for other clients to attend with you.

The course is evenly split between presentations to build the foundation of knowledge and practical exercises on actual ECDIS equipment to cement understanding. The course also gives you a practical board overview of the leading manufacturers

All of our trainers are specialist navigators that are highly experienced in the practical use of ECDIS, having pushed such systems to their limits at sea. Combined, our trainers have taught over 1,000 mariners.

Lunches can be provided at an additional cost

Delegates, who have successfully completed the IMO model course 3.19, will be issued with a ‘Ship Security Officer (SSO)’ certificate.
