Bespoke ECDIS Courses

ECDIS Ltd offer a number of additional courses for non-watch keeping personnel, such as shipping managers, pilots, quality assurers and port state control officers (PSCOs). Furthermore, with our corporate knowledge and expertise, we can arrange for bespoke courses and/or educational presentations to suit your personal requirements. Our Customer Development Manager can produce a timetable to suit your needs; courses range from half a day to a full week and can include lunches (optional extra).

Short Courses

Course Description

The course has been designed specifically for personnel who, although they do not require to keep a navigation watch on an ECDIS, nonetheless need to understand the capabilities, limitations and departures from more traditional navigation methods. No ECDIS experience is required.

Introductory Courses

Course Description

The course has been designed for candidates who have little or no knowledge of ECDIS and who seek to learn the fundamental principles of using such systems. The course combines presentations with practical exercises to educate the candidate about general ECDIS principles, advantages, disadvantages and operation to bring the subject matter to life.
