Delegates will gain an understanding, appreciation and up to date fundamental knowledge of onboard ECDIS/ECS equipment at an Operators level.

The course is evenly split between presentations to build the foundation of knowledge and practical exercises and discussions.

ECDIS welcomes trainees that meet the entry criteria, regardless of background, culture or religion. We advocate that trainees with a variety of different backgrounds, experience, attitudes and values will enhance the course and allows the trainee to contribute to the learning experience. Trainees are therefore encouraged to arrive keen to learn and willing to offer their opinions and experience for the betterment of the course.

All of our trainers are specialist navigators that are highly experienced in the practical use of ECDIS, having pushed such systems to their limits at sea. Combined, our trainers have taught over 1,000 mariners.

Courses can be delivered at ECDIS Ltd, located in Southampton, UK, or conducted at a location of our choice, using our mobile training suite. We are able to visit you and conduct ‘in house’ training on your own systems, ensuring the highest level of understanding for you and your team.
